This is the third time I've read this book and each time, I've fallen deeper and deeper in love with Connor d'Arcy. Are there any Connor's out there, I wonder? Caitlin O'Malley is truly a treasure as are Connor's brother's. The trials that Caitlin endures for her love of Connor is by far the most selfless act, that I can't find the words that can project my thoughts accurately. This book has the ability to take me to another time and place which many books so often do not. Being Irish, I can appreciate the suppression of the people and Uprising that takes place. But Irish or not, I recommend it highly to anyone who wants to fall in love or experience what it means to really be loved.

SPOILER USING MS ROBARDS REPETITION OF TIS SORRY I AM I READ THIS BOOK IT ALL STARTED OFF WELL ENOUGH BUT THEN THE GIRL WHO HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT A PAIN IN THE ASS NEARLY GETS THEM ALL KILLED SHE THEN ALLOWS HERSELF TO STAY A WHOLE FREAKEN YEAR WITH A DUDE NOT THE HERO BY THE WAY WHO SPANKS HER AND EJACULATES ON HER A WHOLE FREAKEN YEAR EVERY THREE DAYS FROM WHAT WE ARE LEAD TO BELIEVE WHEN SHE DIDNT EVEN LET ANYONE TOUCH HER IN THE BEGINNING OF THE BOOK WITHOUT FLYING INTO A FIT AND ALL BECAUSE SHE THOUGHT IT WOULD SAVE THE HEROES LIFE?AND HOW DOES MS ROBARDS WANT US TO VIEW HER AFTER THAT LONG A PERIOD ID RATHER HE HAD RAPED HER ONCE THEN HAVE A PICTURE OF THE HEROIN CONSTANTLY BEING EJACULATED ON BY SOMEONE EITHER THAN THE HERO AND WHO SERIOUSLY BELIEVES ANYONE SPANKING ABUSING AND SEXUALLY HUMILIATING SOMEBODY ELSE WOULD THEN REFRAIN FROM ACTUALLY HAVING SEX WITH HER?SERIOUSLY?THAT TOTALLY RUINED THE STORY FOR ME!!!!I LOVE THE WAY ROBARDS WRITES WHAT A PITY THIS ONE TURNED OUT THIS WAY PLUS HE LOSES EVERYTHING IN THE END HIS HOME HIS CASTLE EVERYTHING HE WORKED SO HARD FOR JUST DOESNT HAVE THE SWOON FACTOR HE EVEN HAS A LIMP IN THE END MORE LIKE A DID I JUST READ THAT FACTOR!
