By Mr. H TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Audio CD
The last Lion's Share album, "Emotional Coma" didn't do a lot for me, so I was more than a little surprised to be utterly blown away by this one. In fact, I may be so bold as to claim it's their best album yet.

It's completely balls to the wall metal that gives you a good kicking, then rolls you over and gives you another kicking, just for the hell of it. The guitars are cranked to the max, the vocals are set to shred, and if I had to point to a new album that satisfies all the criteria of classic heavy metal, this would be it.

For sure, a lot of it is straight out of the Judas Priest Big Book Of Metal, but there is nowt wrong with that. In fact, we could do with a few more bands doing something similar. Vocalist, Patrik Johansson, in particular, is in awesome form as he hits some amazing notes. There's one section of the album - 'Heavy Cross To Bear' and 'The Bottomless Pit' - that is absolutely flawless, and should be required metal listening. Even the slower numbers come with added crunch.

If you liked the Tony Martin era-Sabbath, or mid-eighties Priest, then this is an album you're going to absolutely love.

A ROCK / METAL GEM 13 July 2011
Format:Audio CD
Just read the previous review (by Mr H) and have to agree with all the comments.
Blistering heavy rock, crunching guitars, well composed and to top it all, superb vocals by probably the best rock vocalist around at the moment, namely Nils Patrick Johannson.
All the songs are great (no fillers), but my favourites are;
"Behind The Curtain" / "Judas Must Die" / "Napalm Nights" / "Heavy Cross To Bear" / "Demon In Your Mind" and "Phantom Rider"
All with stunning vocals and head banging guitar riffs.
By the way, if you like this singer, check out some of his work with Astral Doors - recommend "Evil Is Forever", his other bands Wuthering Heights - "Far From The Madding Crowd" and Space Odyssey - "Astral Episode".
It's a real pity that this album will only be found by the lucky few, when it really should be up there with some of the classic rock albums of the past.
Highly recommended!!
