I have to confess, one of the reasons.... actually THE reason i watched this film, other than it being a horror, was it was LORDI's feature film debut. I thought it began fairly well, good creepy atmosphere, decent enough monsters and zombies, but as it went on, the more confusing and incoherent the plot got.
Story centres around an autistic girl whose father, concerned for her health and wellbeing decides to remove her from the hospital she currently resides at, despite the pleas of a nurse to let her stay. They board a lift, but when the doors re-open, the hospital appears deserted. A search finds mutilated bodys and ancient corpses. Monsters are also found roaming the corridors, hunting their next victims. The fate very well may rest with the little girl.
This film reminded me of a mix between Christopher Smith's TRIANGLE and Christophe Gans' SILENT HILL but is more confusing than those 2! I'm sure it was desperately trying to make some sort of statement about the innocence of the girl and the evil nature of mankind but a sketchy script leaves us with no answer or even a hint of a conclusion, which was incredibly frustrating. Nice settings, though...
