Product Description

Sarah is an autistic little girl whose father is worried about her health. Concerned for her, the father sees her removal from the hospital by force as the only option. An elevator breakdown prevents a smooth exit and leaves them trapped with others yet this incident is only the beginning of a descent into nightmare. As the doors open, the hospital appears mysteriously deserted. When mutilated bodies are found, creatures from the underworld start a terrifying attack and it soon becomes clear that the survival of the group may rest solely on the little girl.

I have to confess, one of the reasons.... actually THE reason i watched this film, other than it being a horror, was it was LORDI's feature film debut. I thought it began fairly well, good creepy atmosphere, decent enough monsters and zombies, but as it went on, the more confusing and incoherent the plot got.
Story centres around an autistic girl whose father, concerned for her health and wellbeing decides to remove her from the hospital she currently resides at, despite the pleas of a nurse to let her stay. They board a lift, but when the doors re-open, the hospital appears deserted. A search finds mutilated bodys and ancient corpses. Monsters are also found roaming the corridors, hunting their next victims. The fate very well may rest with the little girl.
This film reminded me of a mix between Christopher Smith's TRIANGLE and Christophe Gans' SILENT HILL but is more confusing than those 2! I'm sure it was desperately trying to make some sort of statement about the innocence of the girl and the evil nature of mankind but a sketchy script leaves us with no answer or even a hint of a conclusion, which was incredibly frustrating. Nice settings, though...

NOT BAD AT ALL 25 April 2011
By 747Rick
Format:DVD
I like Lordi and own most of their albums, I watched them win 'The Eurovision Song Contest' with a cheesy grin and was intrigued when I found out that they were not only going to be in a horror film but that Mr Lordi had come up with the original story.

I have seen much worse horror films than this and it was a pleasant surprise. I love Time Loop films and as one other reviewer has already stated there is a certain amount of Triangle in this but I would also add Dark Corners as well. It is by no means as good as the former but does fare better than the latter.

The acting is more than acceptable (especially liked Ronald Pickup) with one exception. The actress that plays the nurse was just not very convincing in my opinion.

The story itself, especially for those not familiar with this type of plot, could be seen as a little complicated (I, as usual would always recommend people to watch Triangle to see how well it can be done) but overall it was fairly well executed.

My only problem with the film (and this is just my opinion) is that because I already know how the band Lordi look (Outlandish costumes, masks and makeup) that when they appear as the ghosts/ spectres/ monsters it is just not scary enough. Of course for someone watching this with no prior knowledge of the band then you could well end up jumping a few times.

To sum up then this is an above average Horror story with some neat twists but not something that will appeal to everyone

Surprisingly Good 19 Dec 2011
Format:DVD
I don't understand the bad reviews for this film, it is exceptionally good, especially considering it had no big names or OTT explosions and such.

It keeps the viewer interested to the very end and is somewhat confusing as to why all the events actually occur in the first place, which just so happens to be my favorite aspect of many films.

If i were to compare this film with others to help future customers understand the plot of the film, i would say the horror & confusion aspects are most like Silent Hill and 1408.
The only reason this isn't 5 star is because i'm awkward, but all in all, worth buying 100% !
