A Good First!

This book was the very first ever murder mystery I read. After 20 years of romances I happened on this one by accident. Not being a "blood and guts" or "looking over my shoulder" type of gal, I was amazed at the fact that I couldn't put it down. The way the characters were sketched out grabbed you from the beginning. When you finished the last page, you wanted to find the next book in the series immediately. You didn't want to let Quin and Mike go. This is a definite recommendation for those who love a good murder mystery. Haven't picked up a romance since - T.J. definitely got me hooked!

I'd never heard of this author. I really enjoyed the book. I guess my only criticism would be that at times I felt like she was trying to impress us (or be snooty) with her words. SOOO many words I'd never heard of and would wind up having to look up the word where a simple word would have sufficed. Although, there is nothing wrong with learning new words (and I could certainly use a lesson lol), it made for a not so smooth read for me as I found my self obsessed with having to look it up to see what the word meant. Other then that it was excellent and I'm about to read another of her books.
