Those who have disturbed its slumber have paid the ultimate price. It is always waiting..
You receive a frightened cryptic voice message from your brother, an architect redeveloping an old train station and hotel in a now abandoned area. Alarmed he asks for your help.
Explore... forsaken train tunnels, the desolate station, the neglected hotel, and the unkempt grounds, and discover that although no one is there, you are not alone.
You must stand against the evil presence, armed with your wits and ghost hunting gadgets, to uncover hidden artifacts, ancient documents and a valuable journal, which together hold the key to mysterious disappearances and hauntings dating back centuries.
This must be the most atmospheric games I have ever played.
I felt really emotionally involved. Only the best games invovle me emotionally.
The story leads you naturally through a creepy environment. The clues are all there - all logical - which is not to say they are easy - they are challenging in the most satisfying way.
But be warned - sudden interuptions - or a phone ringing in the game will make you jump about three feet out of your chair.
I thought this one was terrific.
Its quite a spooky atmosphere with lots of creaking floorboards and strange noises for you to investigate. The story is interesting with bits of history thrown in although I kept forgetting which room had certain puzzles in so I ended up drawing a map for myself. Overall its a very good game and kept me entertained for days.
Switch off the lights, close the curtains, crank up the sound, and enjoy the wonderful Dark Fall.
