Product Description

The desert nomads have a saying:

"When something is broken it should never be discarded. So long as the pieces remains, the whole can be remade."

A time of trials, war and terror is coming to the desert city of M'Dahz, the Empire's southern bastion. As the Empire's government falters and crumbles, the people suffer.

But Samir, Ghassan and Asima, childhood friends and citizens of M'Dahz, are about to discover that while people change the world, the world also changes people and that the best and worst of folk are forged in hardship.

An interesting turn 15 Oct 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I eagerly await all of the books from this talented author and this book was one I overlooked, somehow, but as soon as I spied it, this was ordered and devoured.

The book is slightly different from his other books as the main plot is focused almost entirely on a seemingly small area of the world which he has created from Interrugnum and Ironroot. It took me a while to get into the story as normally the characters which SJA Turney use are people of some note and importance within their world however this starts off completely focused on people of relatively unimportance and obscurity, however the plot twists slightly and doesnt allow you to become complacent in who or what will happen.

Different change of pace and tone from Mr Turney and something which didnt grab me straight away but worth the wait as the plot grows and your interest grows in these characters.

I look forward to more novels from this talented author

A very good series of books....this one a tale of three people and the adventures that befall them as they go through life...a real adult type fairy story...I found it difficult to click off my kindle and come back to reality. I like the way that the author has entitled each new chapter giving you an inkling as to what the outcome could be further on in the story....I will look for more books from this author.

Another winner from S J Turney.
Again despite the self publication the books improve with every publication, the characters grow, the plots expand and become more intricate.
Yes there are still a few errors and there is always room for improvement, but he is by far one of the best self published authors on the amazon market. If you have not tried one of his books i suggest starting with Marius Mules and following them and seeing the growth yourself.

This is well worth reading, full of pace and action and intrigue...and all for a couple of pounds how can you lose.
