Book Description

26 Jun 2001
A royal enchantress is torn between a magic legacy and a shattering destiny....

In a world of treachery and magic, a warrior princess must face an unknown future — while her past comes back to haunt her....

Fair Isle was once a lush and lovely land, renowned for its wealth and elegance. Now its fields lie blackened by barbarian Ghebite conquerors who despise its traditions of female freedom — and fear its captive young empress, Imoshen.

One of the last pure T'En — legendary for their subtle enchantments and fearsome beauty — Imoshen's magical nature is just beginning to emerge as this new era dawns on Fair Isle. Now, pregnant with Ghebite leader Tulkhan's child, she must battle to save both her land and her new union from being torn apart by suspicion and fear.

Despite their clashing cultures, Tulkhan stirs in Imoshen a quicksilver passion, an all-consuming attraction that trembles on the brink of love. But as Imoshen tries to resist the urge to give in to this powerful longing, an older bond — and more sacred lust — tempts her. For she cannot forget her youthful betrothal to her kinsman Reothe, the last T'En warrior, a proud and sorcerous renegade who now seeks to reclaim Fair Isle — and Imoshen as well....

4.0 out of 5 stars Dark dreams has it all !!! 9 Sep 2003
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Dark dreams is the follow on story to Cory daniells - Broken vows. This book has every thing in it that you could ask for magic, love, betrayel, pride and heartbreak, to name but a few. Cory Daniells has once again bought the young empress Imoshen and ghebite leader tulkhan back to life and as before they have many trials and obsticles they need to over come. Reading this book is a very emotive expirience and just when you reach the end of the book and think it's all over you find that its not. Some may find this annoying, but, i have to say that i enjoy the suspence of waiting for the next installment.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic, awe - inspiring read! 31 Aug 2003

Format:Mass Market Paperback
The Last T'EN; as it is known and published as in Australia, is a spellbinding, exceptional read from an incredibly creative author by the name of Cory Daniells. Her imagination and ability to exact such vivid likeness within the reader's own mind is astounding! I found myself drawn to her novel from the visual aspect; by it's cover, without having ever seen before, nor heard of, and unbeknownst to me as to why; until I picked it up and began to read. From the first paragraph I was intrigued, inspired and easily draughted into the world of a creation so unexpectedly vivid in its' clarity, that I was free to read and be drawn in without having to forcibly try to envision the story and the surrounds contained within. It simply unfolded before my very eyes; and I enjoyed the first book of the T'EN Trilogy immensely! If truth be told, I have almost read the entire novel in record time and am slowly making my way through the last chapter, due to the fact that I am reluctant to reach the end; as I gain such great pleasure from your work and dread coming to the final close of this first work of the T'EN Trilogy; with the realisation that I have yet to find the continuation of your next two parts to this incandescent Trilogy. Well done, Cory! I look forward to the following two books to The Last T'EN; your wonderfully creative, phantasmic reading experience you have generously sought to share with your readers. Thank-you.

5.0 out of 5 stars dark dreams 4 July 2001

Format:Mass Market Paperback
Ms. Daniells captured the essense of what makes an individual love the one they're with, but desire the one they are not with. Ms. Daniells kept us on the edge of your seats wondering does I'Imoshen love the general or is she using him as her toy? Will the General accept her second baby as his own ? Is the second baby Reothe's? or is Reothe and Imoshen pulling his leg? whatever the I'Imoshen choosen one who loves her for herself or a who wants her power will die. The future is what she makes it. the book will leave you hungry for the conclusion of the trilogy.

I love this trilogy and wish there were a lot more continuing the story. I hate that these books are not offered on Kindle and are out of print. The book arrived in good condition. The only complaint I have is it took a month to arrive.
