An almost comical attempt at an honest look at life. It reads like the diary of a hopeful 12 year old with too many dreams plenty of irrelevant, uninteresting side stories. Descriptions are repetitive and barely exceed the emotive value of a lost dog poster. The characters, while clearly very real, are rarely likeable. The protagonist appears condescending and patronizing, even to her own friends. When the story quickly exceeds the author's life experiences, life becomes full of coincidences and convenient plot points. The major lesson here would be to show not tell. Overall, not impossible to read but certainly requires a lot of work.
