Product Description

How do you weigh one love against another?
Things haven’t been easy for Darcie Killengrey; left with the responsibility of her troubled teenage brother Ross and a past of unhappiness and heartbreak.

And then Jake Belfast strides back into her life, as acerbic and contrary as he is exciting and handsome— he also just happens to be her best friend’s brother.

Having parted on bad terms two years previously, Darcie and Jake now find themselves flung back together. Tensions reach new heights when they’re forced to work in the same place and the pair struggle to put the past behind them.

And, all the while, Ross is becoming increasingly involved with a dangerous influence, which looks set to make Darcie’s problems with Jake pale into insignificance …

5.0 out of 5 stars Short but sweet! 12 Oct 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Another gem by Sue Moorcroft! I thought this novella was a charming read. It was lovely to see an unconventional family set up working and functioning throughout the dysfunction that usually is in tow with teenagers. The characters had had their lives intertwined since childhood, and although we only see the brief period in which the story is set (a couple of weeks I think), you are not left wondering about their past. Ross and his "girlfriend" Casey were really interesting to me. I'd love a novel based on Casey and a her dodgy dealings! A short but sweet read and well worth the price :)

Not alot of substance to this novel, maybe for a much younger reader, perhaps teenager, this may have been good.
