Every students must-have 8 Sep 2009

If you're a student of composition, orchestration or film-scoring or the like, this is a must-have. So many interesting things going on in there, and unless you have perfect ears - then you wouldn't need it anyway - the score is invalueable (?) if you want to see how Ravel obtained it. The score is in French, but with a glossary list on the front. However it's sometimes impractical to always flip the book, to see what the comments in the score mean. Very good binding and design, and shows why I like these slighty-larger-than-A4 Dover Publications.

Daphnis et Chloe Full Score by Ravel 26 April 2001

This is a great score of this piece, it is easy to read, and obviously is a print for the original copy. It is also helpful for giving a word glossary, because most of it is writen in French. Also, it gives a lot of information about the opening of the play in Europe and also they play's main happenings. I am very glad that I purchased this book.

Great score and easy to read. Very durable and LARGE! The most important thing is that it is cheap. A must for students, professionals, and listeners alike.
