What is the best way to describe Danzig's music. Well, lets state the obvious first. If you have never heard Danzig's solo work, it is nothing like what he did with The Misfits. If you are a huge punk fan, but have no interest in rock or metal, don't even bother with this. Now that is out of the way, lets see if I can describe this. Imagine if AC/DC, fronted by some kind of devil possessed Elvis Presley, were to compose a rock soundtrack to a horror film. Yup, that just about does it for me.
Songs are written around immensely catchy hard rock riffs, just like AC/DC, the major being difference being the tone of the music. AC/DC were light hearted. They were about sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Danzig takes a more serious approach to his music, and as a result, the tone is a lot darker. But despite that, the album is still pretty fun. This is definately an album to nod your head and tap your feet to, and once you know the lyrics, try not singing along (no really, if you can't TRY not to sing along, you wouldn't want to ruin it, hehe).
I found this album to be very immediate. Favorite tracks would have to be the terrific "Mother", the bluesy "She Rides" and "Evil Thing". The Led Zeppelin-esque "Am I Demon" is a blast as well. A great hard rock album.

A album of strong yet simple metal songs, fronted by one of the most powerful voices in rock. Imagine a cross between Jim Morrison and Elvis Presley, with backing by Metallica and you're getting there. Well recommended!
