Product Description

Art theft. Coded messages. A high-level threat.

Despite her initial disbelief, Doctor Genevieve Lenard discovers that she is the key that connects stolen works of art, ciphers and sinister threats.

Betrayed by the people who called themselves her friends, Genevieve throws herself into her insurance investigation job with autistic single-mindedness. When hacker Francine appears beaten and bloodied on her doorstep, begging for her help, Genevieve is forced to get past the hurt of her friends' abandonment and team up with them to find the perpetrators.

Little does she know that it will take her on a journey through not one, but two twisted minds to discover the true target of their mysterious messages. It will take all her personal strength and knowledge as a nonverbal communications expert to overcome fears that could cost not only her life, but the lives of many others.

More About the Author

Estelle Ryan was born in South Africa and spent her childhood being surrounded by African beauty, nature and diversity of cultures. Her first trip to Europe at the tender age of 16 transformed her world into a much larger place, endless in its possibilities and places to explore. For most of her adulthood she's travelled all over the world, lived on a few continents, explored numerous cultures and is insatiable in the quest to still the hunger for more life experiences.

She's written for numerous international magazines, was the editor of a European lifestyle magazine and has seven romance novels published under a pseudonym. With her interest in international politics, arts, crime, behavioural psychology, criminal psychology and music, she decided to combine all these elements in her writing. And so Genevieve and the team came into being.

She is an unabashed coffeeshopaholic. Good coffee, ambience and music in the perfect combination is all that is required to turn a mundane coffee shop into her 'office'. The appropriate coffee shop is chosen depending on the mood, the weather, the type and amount of work that needs to be done and, of course, the craving of the day. All of her books have been written in numerous coffee shops all over the world.

a really good read, I used to work with someone who was high end autistic, - no social skills but so amazingly clever and observant you tended to forget everything else, and this book does the same it is so well researched and written

5.0 out of 5 stars The Dante Connection - Excellent! 12 Jun 2014

I'm so pleased this is equally as good as the first, except now we're going deeper into the characters and their reactions. Genevieve is as complicated as she ever was, and being drawn into her world is a fascinating glimpse into what she calls "the world of the neurologically challenged". Her difficulty in understanding emotion, and learning how to be friends with a disparate small group of people( including an art thief and a world class hacker ) at the same time as solving another difficult mystery makes you really appreciate the author's research, The plot twists and turns very satisfactorily and builds to a stunning conclusion. Very satisfying to read and 'un put-downable'!

4.0 out of 5 stars a good 2nd book in the series 7 May 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Although you could read this book on its own, you will understand the characters (including the "baddies")
more if you start with Book 1. I enjoyed this slightly more than book 1, though Mr. B. felt the opposite!
There was more action in this one.

Genevieve (Jenny), who is autistic but very clever, is becoming more sympathetic and starting to
gain some social skills - though it is a real effort for her! I like the way the relationship is developing
between her and Manny (from Interpol) and the 3 sort-of criminals who have taken her under their wings.
Vinnie, in particular, makes me laugh.

The arch-enemy is back and out to get revenge on Jenny and her friends using people who also have
grudges, and others with computer skills as good as Francine's. I thought the ending a bit of a "cop-out"
but I suppose that allows for the next in the series. Sometimes, though, Jenny is such a wimp that I'm
surprised her friends are so fond of her!

Altogether a good read and I will read the next book sometime.

I like these books. The schitck with Genevieve's condition is somewhat wearing, but equally, the stories are well put together, and keep you involved. Ive enjoyed the 3 Ive read so far

A compelling storyline and great characters a pity there are so many grammatical errors showing poor proof reading and editing. I am looking forward to reading the next book
