We read this book to our Reception class and all of them liked the story.. Here are some are the things that said about the book..

I read this book with my son, who really enjoyed the story, he thought it was a fun concept that dogs could come into school and listen to children reading. He read the story to me and there were lots of easy to read short sentences which helped him with his confidence levels.

Danny the "listening dog" is an inspiration to all those who work in animal therapy. I so enjoyed reading "Danny goes to London". His adventures on his big award day were humorous, but also very humbling. I loved the colorful illustrations. Children will love reading about Danny's big day and all the silly mischievous events that he encounters on his special award day. Looking forward to your next book.

I had the same feelings about this book as I had about Danny Strikes Out In America. There was not enough content about the R.E.A.D. program. I would have preferred a story about the relationship between the child reader and the dog. Perhaps a story about how it helped the child and something the child was able to do because of his/her improved reading skills. The R.E.A.D. content is very haphazard.

Children of all ages will enjoy this book. Danny is a famous greyhound, a therapy dog. He is an award winner and a also a "reading" dog who takes his audience on an adventure in London as he travels to his jobs in schools. He sees some exciting places and meets interesting people along the way. We get to see some of the work he does with children as he listens to them read books, a very impressive job for a dog.
