... grew up to become known as Dannii. She takes us through her younger years when she and her family moved quite regulary again.[her parents would make extra income by buying run-down houses, restoring them and selling them on for profit] and how her chosen after-school activity of singing and dancing lessons lead to her being a finalist in the talent-search section on TV show Young Talent Time. She didn't win but the producers remembered her and she got a regular part on the show... From there we go between acting, record deals, launching clothing lines, theatre, hosting various children's TV programmes, The Big Breakfast, a tour, Australia's Got Talent and The X Factor - In short her whole 32 year career.

In addition to following her career we also get a peak into her usually off-limits personal life; Her short-lived marriage, being left in debt, her called-off engagement, her inspirations and motivations for her varied charity work, how it felt watching her sister battle cancer, her best friend losing her cancer battle, that 'lesbian orgy', and being on the receiving end of Sharon Osbourne's misplaced fury and becoming a mother.

A problem I have with autobiographies is how the author nearly aways feel the need to over share details [Jordan I'm looking at you] - you can't look at the people the same way again. So I was in two minds about getting this; On one hand I've grown up reading gossip about Dannii from Big and Smash Hits, up to Cosmopolitan and was interested in reading the real stories behind the rumours, but on the other hand it's hard to know where to draw the line and keep your dignity.

What impressed me the most was the lack of bitchiness; Remember Kelly Osbourne yelling over a "book full of lies" about Sharon?

I have been hoping to read an autobiography from Dannii for a long time now, and I think it's perfect that she has chosen to release one at this point in her life. As a massive Dannii fan there were a lot of things in the book that I already knew about and I enjoyed reading these stories from Dannii's perspective. The parts of the book which I enjoyed the most were the stories which Dannii had not shared before or that, being sixteen years old and only around for not even half of her fabulous career, I had not been aware of. My favorite parts were reading about her childhood on Young Talent Time in Australia, how her different albums came about, the tough times during her life that have shaped her to be who she is today and reading about how happy she now is with Kris and baby Ethan.
As I turned each page the book was so well written that I could imagine Dannii's Aussie accent reading aloud in my head and I breezed through its 35 jam-packed, fun, glamorous and often emotional chapters in 7 hours cover to cover.
I am sure that all Dannii fans who buy the book will be as happy with it as I am. However, I also hope that people who may not be Dannii's biggest fans or may have come to believe misconceptions about Dannii and her career will pick up the book and find out the truth about her, and her amazing, inspirational story.
As Miss Minogue very accurately wrote on the back cover: You may think you know all there is to know about me, but I dare you to turn the first page."

I'm not normally a great autobiography reader but certain people I will make the time for and Dannii Minogue is one of them!!
I suppose as a huge fan of Dannii's, I am bound by some unwritten law...(it's probably written somewhere) to be full
of praise for her autobiography and though I'll admit that is the case I feel it is most deserved.
This is an honest book written how Dannii actually talks. You can almost hear her Aussie accent reading it to you.
I think even if you're not a big fan you will be after reading this, it will have you laughing in parts and crying in
others, Dannii talks about everything openly and honestly including her Young talent time days, Home & away, her failed
marriage, music career,Kylies illness, X factor (Sharon Gate) and meeting the man of her dreams and becoming a mum. There are many other things included in the book but I don't want to spoil them for you. All in all this book just shows what an AMAZING woman Dannii is! After all the knock backs she got in life she carried on and got better and better each time, finally her
fairy tale begins and I couldn't be happier for her.

I preordered Dannii's book in advance as I have been a huge fan of hers for years and wanted to read the book as soon as it came out(Also it just happened to be my birthday the day it came out)

It arrived on the day and it was so good I couldn't put it down. It was funny, warm, sad in parts but mainly real.

There are alot of things in the book that Dannii went through that nobody except close friends and family knew about.

Makes me realise how, strong, caring and classy Dannii really is.

This book is a must for any Dannii fan.
