I have been hoping to read an autobiography from Dannii for a long time now, and I think it's perfect that she has chosen to release one at this point in her life. As a massive Dannii fan there were a lot of things in the book that I already knew about and I enjoyed reading these stories from Dannii's perspective. The parts of the book which I enjoyed the most were the stories which Dannii had not shared before or that, being sixteen years old and only around for not even half of her fabulous career, I had not been aware of. My favorite parts were reading about her childhood on Young Talent Time in Australia, how her different albums came about, the tough times during her life that have shaped her to be who she is today and reading about how happy she now is with Kris and baby Ethan.
As I turned each page the book was so well written that I could imagine Dannii's Aussie accent reading aloud in my head and I breezed through its 35 jam-packed, fun, glamorous and often emotional chapters in 7 hours cover to cover.
I am sure that all Dannii fans who buy the book will be as happy with it as I am. However, I also hope that people who may not be Dannii's biggest fans or may have come to believe misconceptions about Dannii and her career will pick up the book and find out the truth about her, and her amazing, inspirational story.
As Miss Minogue very accurately wrote on the back cover: You may think you know all there is to know about me, but I dare you to turn the first page."
