We could bore you with all the standard credits of TV shows he’s been on, which your eyes will skim over and not register because you’ve already decided if you’re buying this DVD or not. (Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, 8 out of 10 Cats, Set List etc etc)
Or we could just tell you that it’s a pretty great DVD recorded in front of an amazing crowd at the Kings Theatre in Glasgow and it’s a 70 minute special of all of his best stand-up material so far. It’s a proper good laugh.
If you like Daniel Sloss then you’ll love this DVD and you should buy it for yourself/family/loved ones/dog. If you don’t like him, just buy it for one of your enemies. They’ll hate you eternally.

Out of all the young stand up acts around at the moment,Daniel Sloss is,for me,the one who really is head and shoulders above the rest.His humour isnt just about ripping the elderly,the poor and anyone from north of Watford to pieces.Its clever,very observant,and hes more than happy to set up a joke and make himself the butt of it.There is a lot of cleverly written material here,that doesnt just connect with people of his own age group,so if your worried youve got to be in your twenties to enjoy his show,dont be,this isnt the case.He seems a little nervous when he first comes on stage,but very quickly hits his stride and settles down.Some of his routines work better than others,and if your easily offended then some of his remarks may cause offence,as hes quite happy to get very near to the knuckle.There are a lot of sex references,so be warned if you dont like that kind of humour,best you steer clear.But dont think its gratuitous,or just for the sake of it,it isnt.And anyone who can work religion,Harry Potter and the Twilight films into the same routine,is pretty cool in my book.
It would have been nice if the show had been a little longer,as 72 minutes is a bit brief.But like I said it is very well written and constructed,and delivered with confidence and style.For a debut DVD its very impressive and should help cement his growing reputation,one which is well deserved.

Daniel Sloss Live, is the debut DVD from this fine young comedian
from Fife. Although born in England, Daniel has lived in Scotland
since the age of four and comes from two generations of canny Scots.
We have heard some of his gags in his guest appearances on shows
such as Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow or Russell Howard's Good
News, but here is a lot of new material all coming from his own take
on life, family and relationships.
As you would expect from a fun loving 22 year old, there is strong
language and sex references, but all done in a confident and
hilarious manner.
Some may say it is mostly student humour, but I enjoyed
it very much, one or two jokes fell flat with the show audience at
The Kings Theatre in Glasgow, where the DVD was recorded, but I am
pretty certain that people of all ages will warm to the sensational
style of this genuinely funny young man.
The show is of approx 72 minutes duration
with a further 40 minutes of chat and commentary.
Subtitles for the hard of hearing are included.
A worthy DVD from this upcoming stand up comedian.
I think I am ready for his next DVD,
or a show near to where I live.

Seen Daniel live several times & met him after too, lovely guy & geniuinly funny, he is so confident on stage & his material just flows. Love the battle rap between him & kai too (its on youtube) ;)
