This document is effective from 1st July 2007 and supersedes the 2005 edition of the Emergency Action Code List. Duty holders are obliged to use this document for the application of appropriate emergency action codes, which are based on the physical and chemical properties of the particular dangerous goods. These regulations implement the Regulations Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail (RID) and the European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR).
