Product Description

CD Description

ROBIN GEORGE’S first ever album released in 1985 was “Dangerous Music” and was starting to generate good sales figures when the company (Bronze Records) went bust and the record vanished from the shops. His first LP, it wasn’t so much a calling card as an announcement that he’s very much arrived. Now its back 25 years later, with bonus tracks, remastered, awaited by fans all over the world. Robin continues today to carry on making music and over the years he has played with Robert Plant, Phil Lynott, David Byron, Roy Wood, Carl Palmer, Glenn Hughes and Don Airy to name just a very few!

5.0 out of 5 stars First rate 80's Pop Rock 6 July 2001
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
Having owned this album on vinyl since 1985. It's one that i pull out frequently to return to my teenage years. There are some stunning tracks on the album. Such as Don't Turn Away & the semi hit Heartline. The album also featured Phil Lynott playing bass on a couple of tracks. Indeed Robin George returned the favour by playing guitar on his '19' single. It's an easy to listen to album, nicely up-tempo, by a very talented musician (he plays just about every instrument) who never got the break he deserved.

3.0 out of 5 stars Why was the original remixed? 5 Nov 2003
Format:Audio CD
I love this album - I was totally unaware that it existed on CD so when I discovered it I did not hesitate to buy it. I am disappointed the re-mix has definitely lost some of the powerful sounds of the original. In fact I would even go as far as to say that "Shout" really has become no more than a "Whisper".
This artist was superb and due to all the wrong reasons failed to make the big time - if you get the chance get the original of this album - even though it is on one of those things they used to call records - you won't be disappointed.
This version may grow on me but having listened to it twice I must confess to getting the record deck out and playing the original again. This album is good but the original was twice as good.
All in my humble opinion of course.

4.0 out of 5 stars EIGHTIES POWER POP IS BACK! 6 Oct 2010
By HAYLING BOOK & MUSIC VENUE (HBMV) TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Audio CD
Well done to Angel Air for picking up this album from Robin George. 'Dangerous Music' is 'a grower' - I wasn't sure about it upon first listen, but subsequent plays have convinced me that this is a cracking good album. Robin's vocal and guitar style is unmistakeable and whilst the production and sound is locked firmly in the Eighties, the punchy tracks and sharp songwriting make this a highly pleasurable listening experience.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good Album at the time but has not aged well 13 April 2007
Format:Audio CD
Overproduction so trendy at the time has limited this albums credibility.

A very talented musician and a decent Album for it's time. Now seems a bit weak and wet with too much emphasis on layered vocals.

Stolen from Heart and showdown are the best tracks with Heartline the standout track from 80's that now seems so limp.
