Product Description

Product Description

Alena didn't think this was abuse. She was 15, and she liked it. But Mr Hawthorne, her maths teacher, knew the score. She was a child, and him, an evil predator preying on a vulnerable young schoolgirl.

This is the powerful story of concealed abuse and the realisation of the truth. How long will it take Alena to see her groomer for what he really is?

This is based on a true story of child abuse - some readers may find certain passages disturbing.

More About the Author

Michelle Diana Lowe was born in September 1983. She was born, and grew up, in East London. From the tender age of six, Michelle began writing stories before she could read fluently, and aged nine, she wrote her very first children's book.

Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature with Philosophy from Roehampton University in 2005.

Her latest novel The Glass Heart Girl, is a beautiful romance story about a lovely young student Alena Pavlis, who falls in love with the gorgeous Phillip Gregson during Freshers' Week at the University of Leicester. Alena is striving to overcome her traumatic past and embrace love, friendship and a new life.

Michelle has published two other books to date. Heaven Calls For An Angel, which she wrote as a tribute to her friend who sadly died of cancer last year, and Dangerous Calculations, a short story about an inappropriate teacher-student relationship.

At present, Michelle continues to live in the London area and loves sharing her books with readers.

5.0 out of 5 stars A thought-provoking tale of child abuse 23 May 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was the second book I had read by Michelle, having thoroughly enjoyed her first - Heaven Calls For An Angel. Although the stories of these two books are very different, I found many of the themes to be the same. Both feature young girls struggling with difficult situations. While Jodie struggled with her terminal cancer, Alena is the victim of a merciless paedophilic teacher. The book starts out with the naive protagonist lusting after her handsome maths teacher in the way many young girls look up to handsome older men. However, when she gets involved with him, things get out of her control and she becomes more and more vulnerable to his inappropriate predatory actions. This book is uncomfortable to read, because it raises a whole array of moral issues and plants you firmly in Alena's shoes. It is very sexually explicit, which might normally be exciting to read, but you have to keep reminding yourself that this is just a child!

Michelle's writing is exquisite and she has a way of describing things that enables you to picture everything vividly in your mind. I really envy the way she is able to draw the reader in so wholly and produce such a wide array of emotions in just one short story! This story will be continued in Michelle's upcoming full-length novel, 'The Glass Heart Girl' - I can't wait to read it!

1.0 out of 5 stars This is porn. 4 Nov. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I feel this is not a true story at all. The language, writing style and plot insinuate nothing more than a cheap attempt at a pornographic novel. I 'd be very surprised if the author is not, I fact, a voyeuristic man and not a woman at all . Not at all what the title suggests.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very short 14 Aug. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is very very short , I just seemed to be getting into it and it was over. I would have liked to know how the court case went and how the girl moved on , however there was none of this.

1.0 out of 5 stars gratuitous rubbish 26 Aug. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Barely got past the second chapter. Only given it one star as it needed that as a minimum. Avoid unless you get a kick out of this kind of thing.
