Benson Burner was my entry into the world of raw, rocking filth that Ten Benson have created. Learning that it had been aimed at the U.S. market and imagining that this meant the music had had its rough edges polished off, I bought Danger of Deaf so that I could enjoy their music unfiltered, and boy am I glad I did.

The songs are mostly the same as Benson Burner, but played a little faster and with extra grit. After listening to Danger of Deaf about twenty five times in two days I can't get it out of my head, and I can't listen to Benson Burner any more, finding it too restrained and mannered. Yes, that is how hard listening to this band has made me.

The sound could be described as a mixture of Motorhead, AC/DC, Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the above-mentioned ZM, all mixed up and played by the kind of people who smoke B&H.

With this album, you have to take a chance because they have not yet been received by radio stations but it is worth chancing it. The first track, one way ticket is the highlight of the album and sets the tone. It rocks hard. This band have been recognised by several big bands such as the darkness who share the same record label. This could well be the most underrated album of the year! buy this
