Product Description

Book Description

A charming story, from new talent Lizzie Finlay, all about acceptance and belonging.

Product Description

When the 'delightfully different, bright yellow and rather scruffy' Dandylion joins Miss Gardener's neat and tidy class, chaos and fun follow. But after one messy incident too many he's told to go home - he just doesn't fit in. It doesn't take long, however, for everyone to realise that too much neatness and order isn't always a good thing and everyone's desperate for Dandylion to return!

At last, Dandylion feels like a wildflower in the right place!

An empowering story about friendship, diversity and finding your place.

This book encourages children to celebrate the things that make them unique, and feel proud of who they are. Lizzie Finlay's illustrations are both gentle and magical. I love the way she adds more colour as the story goes along, showing how Dandylion lights up everyone's lives. I'd definitely recommend this book to all parents of young children.

Fun in every way 24 Jan 2009
Format:Paperback
This book has everything - imagination, a subtle message, stunning illustrations and a sense of humour. Lizzie Finlay has been so clever in details such as Dandylion's grandfather being a grandfather clock and the look on the teachers face when she was cross with the children for drawing moustaches on their faces. So many books I read to my children to delight them, this entertains me too! No children's bookshelf should be without "Dandylion"
