As a Reiki Master taught under the classic ways, this book was like a breath of fresh air. Don't let it put you off Reiki, but it does fill in several of the holes left by classic teachings, which are due to errors in transmission of Dr Usui's great revelations to the Western world
Add 'Lost Steps of Reiki' and you are far better equipped to understand what Reiki is truly all about.

Dancing with the Devil
as you Channel in the Light
by David Ashworth

SURVIVAL FOR HEALERS AND THERAPISTS

Paperback 234 x 156mm, 224 pages, 4pp colour, 18 lines illus, 1-902733-03-7, £12.99

Many people deny or ridicule the concept of evil, but for David Ashworth there can be no doubting its reality. In his work as healer, geopathic stress investigator and energy balancer, he has come to a personal awareness of the living, subtle energies which surround and pervade each and every being. He believes that light energy continually and inevitably attracts dark forces and that one has literally to engage in battle to re-direct these forces back into the light.
In Dancing with the Devil, an astonishing and timely which works on many levels, David writes about healing; about psychic attack and how to resist it; about Reiki; about the chakras and subtle bodies; and about the responsibilities of all who work with energy, including healers and therapists.
The book includes cases of possession by a variety of entities and beings which the author has, by aligning with the forces of light, resolved with courage and determination. It also contains images of dark forces captured on colour film.
David discusses the responsibilities and needs of those who seek to raise their rate of vibration by Reiki attunement, and gives a strong warning to all who treat the subject lightly or irreverently.
Well know from the television Housebusters series, and from workshops and lectures, David writes here not only for healers and therapists but for all seeking to understand the reality which lies beyond the physical world.

This is a totally refreshing approach to Reiki and should be applauded greatly. It is essential reading for anyone about to embark on Reiki training or any other type of spiritual healing, and it is also a very absorbing read for those who simply wish to learn more about energy work.
The knowledgable and sensitive handling of case histories in a subject area which some readers could find disturbing is commendable. This book can help those new - and not so new - to energy work to learn some of the essentials for survival in this field. My only regret after reading this book was that it wasn't written earlier. There is much to be learned here.

As a Reiki channeller, I ordered this book to learn more about what the energy is, where it comes from and how it works. I was also interested in knowing how to 'filter' unwanted dark energies during healing sessions. This book answered all my questions and was a huge help.
Don't let the title put you off - the book DOES NOT go into detail about witchcraft or satanic practices, but it does make you aware of other energies and how to protect yourself.
The first section of the book explains what Reiki is and what's actually happening when you're channelling the energy. It also contains a number of case studies on how David has helped people who've suffered, or are suffering from negative energy attachments, etc.
Although the subject matter should be taken seriously, the book is easy to read and far from heavy going - an essential read for anyone practising Reiki or other light work on themselves or others.

I was drawn to read this book as I have found that many people who are in the process of developing as psychics are also in denial of a dark side. This is akin to saying 'If I don't believe in rain, I won't get wet!'
David Ashworth tackles this difficult subject in a sensitive and hugely informative way. He is a Reiki Master (among other things) and his thoughts on the way Reiki is passed on today are well worth reading, especially for anyone who is thinking of taking up Reiki. Please do get your Reiki attunements - but read David's book first!! He is full of good advice and obviously knows his subject inside out.
He tackles the almost taboo subject of negative energies with sense and respect. Reading it is not alarming, but enough to shock you out of any complacency regarding your own level of protection. Please, please do yourselves a favour and get this book!!!

This is a book about psychic protection for lightworkers and as such it should be required reading for all lightworkers. I agree with David Ashworth that this is a subject that needs to be covered more thouroughly. However, this books paints a dark picture where everyone is under attack. I would recommend that all lightworkers read this book, but read it from the heart, and where something does not resonate with you, it will bring out your truth. I feel that David has a great calling to work with people and places under attack, but it has put him in a reality where everyone is like his clients, and that is not the reality I am in.
