Product Description

Product Description

A thriller in which a junior matron at an elite school embarks on a passionate affair with the 17-year-old son of the Lord Chief Justice. The two meet again years later, and their passionate reunion leads to a terrible crime fired by an overwhelming obsession. From the author of LAST RESORT and WILDFIRE.

From the Back Cover

It all started with a silly prank, a play and a dance - a love so enduring, so indestructible that it would survive against all odds.

Elizabeth Sorrill is the junior matron at Foxton's élite School for Boys. Blessed with the kind of beauty others only dream about, her attractions prove irresistible to Alexander Belmayne, the seventeen-year-old son of the Lord Chief Justice. But their passionate affair is shortlived as bitter lies and scandal force them apart.

Angry and frustrated at Oxford, Alexander thrives on his reputation as a heartbreaker, until Bohemian beauty Jessica Poynter draws him into a fast life of glittering excess and depravity in London's high society. But when a chance meeting brings Alexander and Elizabeth together again, their passionate reunion leads to a breathtaking crime fired by an overwhelming obsession - a hatred so violent it knows no limits...

4.0 out of 5 stars A page turning blockbuster, 23 April 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Dance While You Can (Paperback)
This was an excellent book which had everything a good blockbuster should have, love ,hate, scandal etc. You just wanted to knock the heads of the two main characters, Elizabeth and Alexander together so they could finally see some sense. I liked the way the book showed both characters perspectives as it did by changing from Alexander telling the story on one chapter to Elizabeth telling the story on the next. It centres around a rich young 17 year old boy at private school falling in love with the 21 year old junior matron...I thought the ending was a bit too rushed and a letdown but otherwise a good read and a real page turner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, 25 Oct 2004
This review is from: Dance While You Can (Paperback)
This was the first Susan Lewis book I read, and that was about six years ago. I have read it a million times since and am still gripped every time. It's an amazing set of twist and turns and makes the book unforgettable. This book is the reason I bought the many other Susan Lewis books I own. I love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent, 11 Feb 2002
This review is from: Dance While You Can (Paperback)
This was the first Susan Lewis book I ever read and since then i have bought 11 others so you could say that i was very impressed. She is an excellent writer who captures the mood perfectly. Every book is different, but each is just as intense as the last. They have you gripped from start to finish.
Dance While You Can tells the romantic story of an older woman who falls for the wrong man. Everything is against them and there are some fantastic twists throughout. the ending leaves you wanting more.
