I enjoyed reading this book, kind of short and sweet as it only took an evening to read. It has a lot of ballet terminology and i think would appeal more to readers who know a lot more about ballet than i do. However this book only briefly makes reference to eating disorders so if your expecting a book about the anorexia side of the dance world then you will be very disapointed. I felt as if the story was a bit too pradictable and was over far too soon.

I didn't really enjoy this book at all. It isn't terribly well written and jumped about from scene to scene with no breaks in the narrative making it rather jumbled.

It is definitely a book for people interested in ballet, but if you think it's going to be about eating disorders - think again. Only right at the end is this an issue, and even then it is only brief.

The story centres around Delia, who dreams of being a ballerina. Dance is her life, and she is thrilled when she gets a special part in the ballet school's production of "The Nutcraker" - a role given only to the most gifted pupils.

However, when Delia falls out of favour with her teacher, she tries everything she can to change, including a diet that quickly spirals out of control.

Pearl, Delia's older sister, is also struggling after the death of their mother.

This is a book that fans of ballet will enjoy.
