What can I say? Konami have really pulled their finger out this time. All of the best DDR X2 songs are finally available on a console version :). Admittedly, as usual the license songs are a pile of poop, especially the Justin Bieber songs. Luckily though the originals and crossovers more than make up the stark taste of disappointment that the "pop" songs seem to always stir up. Unlike previous series it does not take forever to unlock songs (I'm looking at you DDR 2010!) and when you get there players will be greeted with many of the obnoxious dance tracks that DDR players love, such as delta max and the extremely difficult valkyrie dimension. Though the supplied mat is a pile of garbage like most soft mats are, there is very little I can do to fault the game since there is a decent song list. Overall a much better game than the recent incarnations, actually worthy of 5 stars for a change, well done Konami is all I can say.

I have waited a long long time to bother buying one of the Wii Konami DDR games. had been sticking to the old psone ones, as the Wii ones didn't seem to have much music choice and seemed to be lacking in Konami originals, which both my daughter and I prefer over any licensed tat on them :P So, looked up music list when Hottest Party 5 came out and yes! Lots of Konami originals! HATED having to unlock them by playing everything though, even though didn't take terribly long. But once done was worth it, some great original Konami tunes! I know many people think it's passe' now since there's other games that use the nunchuks or the kinect kind of thing...but some of us prefer the good ol' feet only way. My only wish, is that they had gone the Rock Band 3 route, of having song downloads!! Would be SO great to add old favs to it, so can have them all together in one package. Also, wish they kept the 'make your own step' thing, as it never worked on my psone game, and always wanted to try it! But yes, if they do more, they need to do downloads!

What the hell is this ****? Is this some kind of sick joke? Since when was DDR part of the Disney machine? The song list on this game is an absolute disaster. Apart from the one Goldfrapp song, no-one who has pubic hair wants to hear any of the songs included with this version. I can't believe what an absolute train wreck this game is. I'm sorry, Selena Gomez? Miley Cyrus? And to top it all, not none, not one, but, unbelievably, TWO Justin Beiber songs.

I'm not angry, I'm disappointed. As disappointed as I think it is possible to be. Avoid at all costs.
