I was actually surprised to see nobody has written a review for this as sine i bought this i have read it straight through several times. This basically tells the story of three Characters a neophyte, a fully fledged space marine and Tankred, a dreadnaught. The three stories are all good and the author jumps from one story to the next without confusing the reader. The art in the book is excellent and i feel portrays the dark future of the 41st millenium accurately. i'm really not one for reviews but this was well worth the read.

It is a great comic. The style is perhaps a little generic, but it is nice how the story of this one space marine is split up seeming to be three separate characters. It is only towards the end that the pieces fit into place as to who he really is.
And to be honest who doesn't love a bit of Dan Abnett.

Not the best comic I've ever read, but I enjoyed it. I don't think someone who doesn't really like warhammer would enjoy this, it is deffinately fanboy material. The art style changes throughout the comic, I think each part was done by different people for reasons unknown. While it's nice to have a variety of art style, some are not such good quality, so characters look different towards the end of the story. I cannot give it 4 stars because the art quality degrades, although I wouldn't have minded if it was just a change of style. Story was very enjoyable and dialogue was ok, not great but space marines are supposed to be quite wooden I think. Cannot give 5 stars because it is very in-universe.

All in all a good read, I would reccommend for fans. Can deffinately do worse when it comes to warhammer fiction! (horus heresy vol.3 for instance... *vomit*)
