If you know your funk you own this already. If you don't but are getting into funk well why not jump in the deep end and buy this straight away? No funk collection is complete without it.

You'll find this is one of those albums that is chocked full of outstanding, era forming tunes. There is however one small weakness - the out and out funk masterpiece "Blow Your Head" completely steals the show, making all those other classics look limp next to it. That's the only complaint I can come up with!

But have a listen to "I'm Paying Taxes What Am I Getting?" and "Same Beat" for starters and you'll realise the depth in the album as well as the fact this hits out with black politics in a charming, humourous, soulful and of course unbelievably funky way.

Landmark album here folks.
