You don't know the darkness but I do...Tapping The Vein, 21 Jun 2002
Tapping The Vein are in my opinion by far one of the best goth rock bands out there. I first discovered their song Butterfly on the compilation album Diva X Machina 2, which is full of other fantastic female vocalists. The lead singer of TTV has the most powerful, beautiful and emotion evoking voice I have ever heard. This 11 song ep is perhaps the most played album in my record collection. Whether you prefer female blues or female industrial music, I definately recommend you try this album. The beautiful lyrics are quite often very deep and you will find them very poetic. TTV have their own web site tappingthevein.com and you can find out about their music there. From the song of the same name, The Damage, these lyrics show just little of the emotions portrayed in the songs: "You don't bleed like I do, You don't feel what I do, You don't live in this awful place, You don't know the darkness like I do." Even if you find that you do not like the music, I am positive nearly everyone will be able to identify with at least some of their lyrics. This is a beautiful album.

A Diamond in the rough!, 24 Feb 2006
Tapping The Vein, are by far the most underappriciated band out there. They deserve to be heard by every single person who likes to listen to hard hitting music that stricks every wound you have covered up. The lyrics are straight forward raw emotion poured into a mixture of hard hitting guitars and electronic sounding beats. Songs that stand out to me are:- Again - "i am wearing this weight again, i cuts like it did then, its consuming all my thoughts and swallowing me again, and what you see, is whats left of me, but im here." Hurricane - "its impossible for whats left of this to be saved, and its sinking in that being heres a mistake." Sugar Falls - "what am i doing here, what am i waiting for, will sombody fall from heaven, and join me on the floor, why am i holding out, Pretending it might make sense, I will not understand this any better then, What if I try escaping, hoping for some repair, and then what if all of this Heartache, follows to find me there?" Tapping The Vein will definatly not misplease you if you have ever felt, low, lost, underappreciated, pressurized or alone. The Damage should never be took out of your CD player!!!!

Uplifting, Enlightening, a wonderful listen!, 9 Mar 2004
By A Customer
I first saw TTV supporting Paradise Lost at the mean fiddler, and immediatly went out and got the album. Each song has its own message, the lyrics are hard hitting, beautiful, and easy to relate to. From the very first track you are plunged into a journey through your life, and i love it. My most played cd, if your a fan of good music, get it!
