Without spoiling the film, I will only say that I did not manage to keep watching for more than 45 minutes, not because I was disgusted or shocked by the contents but because I was so damn annoyed with the cliché pile up the film turns out to be, both as part of the narration and on a more conceptual level.
The film seems to build itself as an escalation of displays of transgressions, gives a terrible image of women, gratuitously feeds us preposterously conservative sex and is all in all a deeply unpleasant experience. It quickly felt like a social freak show. Maye the end I did not see would have provided some sense and some closure, but I just could not take more of it.
The DVD copy I have is also an extremely poor transfer, but it does not matter all that much in this case.
I won't give it one star as this type of contents might appeal to a deeply conservative audience who might be able to identify with the characters better.
