5.0 out of 5 stars Jr Returns : Dallas is back!, 12 Oct 2000
This review is from: Dallas:J.R.Returns [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The movie starts at the airport, where a plane arrives from Paris. A chauffeur stands, holding a sign that says 'Ewing'. Soon after, JR gets off the plane and walks to the chauffeur. "Let's not waste any time...I've got a town to take back." JR eagerly says as they walk towards the terminal.JR's first stop is Ewing Oil, where he wants to pay a visit to Cliff Barnes. It's been nearly six years since he was last in Dallas, and he stares up at the building that's so familiar to him. Cliff's secretary leaves for lunch, just as JR barges past her into Cliff's office. After getting over the initial shock of seeing his old nemesis again, Cliff promptly tells JR to get out of his office. JR wants Cliff to sell Ewing Oil back to him, but Cliff, of course, refuses. JR tells him that he knows Ewing Oil is talking merger with Westar, and then tells him not to hold his breath waiting for it to happen. "Oh, and by the way, at least you didn't screw up Ewing Oil beyond repair...and for that, I thank you," Just the begining of this tale....

This and much more in my favourite, and surely yours, Dallas:J.R.Returns!

4.0 out of 5 stars dallas jr returns, 9 Mar 2007
This review is from: Dallas:J.R.Returns [VHS] (VHS Tape)
5 years ago jr ewing had lost it all, no oil business, 2 wives who left him, 3 kids either living their own life, not wanting to know him or not even knowing of him. aswell as that he had fallen off the wagon after being warned off the drink, ewing oil was owned by cliff and southfork by bobby. so he fired a shot and we were led to believe that he had killed himself.

But after 5 years we find hes very much alive and hadnt killed himself, after an extended stay in europe he returns refreshed and ready to take back the town of dallas.

with barnes planning to sell ewing oil to westar jr has to act fast to save his beloved company from vanishing into the hands of another arch enemy carter mckay. all this whilst his lonely brother bobby is mulling over whether or not to sell southfork ranch as now only him and his son christopher live there and with chris off to college soon, bobby doesnt warm to the idea of being in the famous ewing household all by himself.

jr forms his most devious plot yet, can he win back sue ellen and john ross so that southfork can be full to appease bobby? can he save ewing oil? can he reunite his family?

Jr uses every trick in the book to come out on top and without giving this one away one thing is most definitely for sure. Jr is back!
