Book Description

22 April 2004 Avon Romance
Daisy Lee Monroe thought she'd brushed the dust of Lovett, Texas, off her high-heeled shoes years ago, but she's come back home only to find that little has changed. Her sister is still crazy, and her mom still has pink plastic flamingos in her front yard. And Jackson Lamott Parrish, the bad boy she'd left behind, is still so sexy it hurts. She'd like nothing better than to avoid this particular man, but she can't. Daisy has something to say to Jackson, and she's not going anywhere until he listens.

Jackson learned his lesson about Daisy the hard way, and now the only word he's interested in hearing from Daisy's red lips is good-bye. But she's popping up
everywhere, and he doesn't believe in coincidence. It seems the only way to keep her quiet is with his mouth, but kissing Daisy had once been his downfall. Is he strong enough to resist her now? Strong enough to watch her walk out of his life again? Is he strong enough to make her stay?

4.0 out of 5 stars A great read 14 Jan 2007

Format:Paperback
This book as got to be the best book i've read i a long time. When reading of the character of jack to can see that he as trust problems, which have prevented him from finding love, and when the only person in his life he has ever been in love with, comes back into town he does he dame hardest to stay away from her, but daisy has other ideas.

There were times in the book i wanted to bash Jack and Daisy round the head, because it's so clear that they are in love with each other but don't want to do anything about it beacuse of their history.

I've given this book four stars as it really is a great book but i felt it was a bit rusted at the end, but i would recommend this book to anyone who has loved and lost but then found it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars back in town and here to stay 18 July 2007

i really liked this book and think it has got very unfair reviews by some others. i understood daisy's reasons for doing what she did in the book, maybe didnt agree with them myself but i understood and sympathised. she is also a really likeable character as is Jackson who is the hero of this book. i also undertsand why he is angry about what she did. what you have to understand though is that being eighteen, in that situation and not thinking he loved you nemore...well it would scare you out of all logical reason. besides the "secret" that almost everyone could guess anyway, this book is very addictive to read, and fast-paced. the characters are easy to like and you wish them together every moment. the sex scenes are sizzling and the ending is so lovely you are left with a big ol' smile on your face. my advice? read the synopsis and if it sounds like something you'd like read it. don't listen to all other ppl who just come to slag a book off on the internet. i thought it was GREAT!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant 24 Nov 2008
Format:Paperback
This book had everything that you could possibly want in a romantic read. Humour, as well as secrets that we want hidden! There is also fights etc which are also quite entertaining to read about. I don't know what else to say except if you are thinking about getting this book to read, read other Rachel Gibson books first because then you will appreciate this book all the more.

2.0 out of 5 stars Oh, Rachel why'd you have to write about this again???
I am torn in 2 here. On one hand I want to nag about the "secret" our Daisy has, because it is something I absolutely loathe in a romance novel. I hated it in this one as well. Read more
