Book Description

Daisy is incredibly excited when her uncle offers to take her on a fishing trip. There's so much new stuff to learn! Like how water witches turn fishermen into dog poos, why supermarkets don't stock picknicky things like lemonade and chicken wings on the same shelf, and why it's a really, really bad idea to use wriggly tiggly maggots as catapult amunition...

5.0 out of 5 stars Daisy & the trouble with Maggots 31 May 2011
By Salbo
Format:Paperback
What a funny book! My 2 kids are addicted to These Daisy books. My 7 year old son finds them hilarious as well as my 4 year old daughter. Thats because Daisy is so naughty! I also enjoy reading them to the kids as I identify with
'Daisys Mum' character. The books have also encouraged my 7 year old to have a go at reading as he is reluctant, but he is always desparate to know what trouble she will get up to in the next chapter! I have bought these books as birthday pressies too. A call for more books in this range!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely book, arrived on time. 1 Jan. 2014
Format:Paperback
This was a well received gift for my 9 year old girl. Great story, easy for reading together or the child alone, it is a funny story with great illustrations and I think is suitable for 7-9 year olds. If your child enjoys this story it's worth getting the others in the collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars We love Daisy! 6 Dec. 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I bought this book as part of a Daisy series. My four year old daughter loved the Daisy picture books and enjoys these just as much. She laughs out loud at some of Daisy's observations - she is always getting herself into mischief! We've started sending these books over to her cousin in New Zealand now so she can enjoy them too. These chaper books are a great step up from the picture books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Here is a sneak preview off this story!!!! 28 April 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Daisy is very exited when Uncle Clive invites her and her Mum out fishing. What's more, they are also having a picnic! But when she gets there, and everything seems to be going so well,Jack and Harry turn up in their canoes practicing their kayak rolls. Daisy is not very pleased,so she spends the evening pinging maggots at them. But the day does not end very well.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just for girls 14 Jan. 2012
Format:Paperback
Daisy and the Trouble with Maggots (Daisy Fiction)My eight year old son has always loved Daisy, so when I was looking for a book and the sales person recommended Daisy and the trouble with maggots I jumped at this one. It was fun to share the reading and the maggot theme made sure it wasn't too girly for a boy to read too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Daisy does it again 9 Aug. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Kes Gray cannot go wrong with the Daisy books in our house. I think I enjoy them as much as my 7 year old daughter does! This one had my daughter begging her dad for a fishing trip though I am not sure if it is for the fishing or all the treats Daisy insists are needed on a trip!

These are my 6 y.o daughter's favourite books! We have bought them all, and she 'swallows' each of them in 2 days. Very funny, with pictures and not too small letters, the Daisy books are perfect ready for 6-7 year olds. Each book comes with a bookmark, which is a nice detail.
