Daisy does not fit in, as the only grey, scruffy donkey in a stable full of beautiful camels she is certainly different. She desperately wants to repay her owner Saul, for all his kindness, but nobody wants to travel on a donkey, or do they? A wonderful traditional tale told with a modern twist, a must for children of all ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Little Story! 12 Feb. 2011
Format:Paperback
I love this book! It is a really gentle and heartwarming story. As a school teacher I read many children's books and this has everything. It is nicely illustrated and leaves plenty of room for discussion with the child. It is just about the right length. It is a great bed time read and my children loved it.I was lucky enough to get a pre-publication copy of this book. I have read it to a number of classes at my school and they enjoyed it too. I think it is suitable for a wide range of ages from pre-school to about 10 years old. There is a lot of mileage in using it as a story in its own right but also as a tool for religious education or personal and social education in school. If this is this guy's first book, it won't be his last. Lovely!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal children's gift 12 Oct. 2011
Format:Paperback
This is a moving and heart warming book. It is sympathetically written and the illustrations compliment it perfectly. Perfect for a present for children to have it read to them or to read themselves. I can see it being one of those books that will be read over and over again especially in the lead up to the excitement of Christmas. Highly recommended for families and schools. An excellent first book from the author.

5.0 out of 5 stars A charming and enjoyable story for children 9 Aug. 2012
Format:Paperback
This book brings the Christmas story to young children in a unique and imaginative way. The story is easily shared with children and will be reread time and again. The pictures enhance it and children will enjoy them immensely. Russ has brought a modern aspect to the story that we know and love and I look forward to his next book with anticipation. Meanwhile, I will continue to read "Daisy" with my grandson.
