It has been more than a year since I sat down to pick out another 60 of my giant crossword challenges for your delectation. I hope that is the correct word, because I often feel that my weekly challenge to Daily Telegraph Weekend readers might be more of a marathon than a country stroll. However, it would appear that no matter how difficult the clues, no matter how esoteric or alien the solutions, there is always a full mailbag of correct entries delivered to the Telegraph office each Wednesday. In these days of television quizzes offering £1 million prizes it cannot be a £200 prize that attracts so many to this puzzle. So, if it's the mental tussle that these puzzles present, prepare to do battle.
