Whilst I love the layout of this book to practise letters and then sentences to improve cursive writing, this book is American English, so not really suitable for children learning British English (e.g. spelling "jewelry" instead of "jewellery" and there's a section entitled "Our Presidents"). My main complaint is that the letters are not as clear I hoped - the I looks like a small L, the G is odd and the Q is simply a number 2! It would have been helpful to see a page showing the cursive alphabet before purchasing such a book.

I bought this book to use with my class and was disappointed to see that the style of handwriting is very different from what we have been teaching.It is American and has lots more loops than most UK schools use!

This book is just what I wanted to help my 7 year old with his hand-writing. Although he already writes cursive, his writing is scruffy and not in proportion. He needs daily structured practice. This is the only book I have found (and I have searched everywhere!) which offers practice under some sort of structure which fits into our busy lives! The book is divided into days (daily practice for 36 weeks) so he can do just the right amount of writing practice on the principle of little and often. The topics to be copied are interesting too. The format is clear and un-fussy! Now, let's hope it works!
