I had read the reviews for this item before deciding to try it.
It does not plug and play as it says on the description. I'm quite comfortable using computers so I was able to manually install the driver from the CD before the device was finally recognized. The drivers are in the 1082 folder in the CD.
I have got a dual boot system (Windows 7 and Windows Xp) and fortunately the device works on both operating systems.

I bought this USB Ethernet adaptor but doesn't work with my computer. I tried in an HP PC and also in a Mac and none recognise the adaptor. Any info is this needs a driver to be installed?????

Drivers are on the CD inside the "1082" folder.
However once installed performance is poor; on my Windows 7 32bit machine where the built in ethernet will reach 8MB/s this maxed out at 0.5MB/s.

Great little device.Cheap and effective. Does exactly what it is supposed to do, easily and quickly.Would recomend to anyone.Wish I had bought it before.

Instructions Needed
It works and it doesn't. For Win98SE the driver is useless. Can't speak for the other versions apart from XP. With XP it does work. Here's how:

dont buy
