Yes, it's cheap, yes it does fantastic jacket potatoes but after 4 months it developed a mind of its' own. After the beep it automatically starts up again for 2.05 minutes. If you open the door to stir or to start it up again it doesn't work again for the rest of the day.

Daewoo were helpful and happy to replace through Amazon. Amazon were not. Now got to send it back for re-fund. We shall see how straight forward that proves. Now I need a new microwave......

Looks good, works good, very easy to set up and use. Instructions are clear and concise. The one missing star is because the outer casing to the right of the unit vibrates when cooking which in turn produces excess noise. If you put your hand on this area then the noise level is reduced ... not a big deal though but I mention it as it`s louder than the unit it is replacing. Something that could be worked on during manufacture I reckon (if y`all watching Daewoo). 40 quid, it`s a steal as it really does look superb, the controls being hidden under the door so all you see is the silver casing with a reflective black freeform sweeping door, the digital clock in the corner is an added bonus too. Cooks an Asda curry pot to perfection!

Cheap but after 9 months it decided to have a mind of its own. The controls did not clear. Switch it off and it will start operating un prompted when reconnected. The makers say it is up to Amazon to replace it. Not satisfactory. A few months later it failed to operate at all. Avoid it.

After checking out Which? guide to microwaves and deciding this one was probably the best performance for the cheapest price, I bought it for my mother, who at 80, also needed one that was easy to operate. She was thrilled that it arrived just 3 days after ordering, and is stylish, simple to operate and works brilliantly. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some microwaves, but that's not what she needed.

Verified Purchase
I was going to buy a Tesco microwave, which is what a relative recommnded, but I first read the "Which" reviews and instead bought this machine which was a mistake as I am very disappointed with it. It is fairly complicated to use but the worst thing of all is the handbook as it is illogical in the layout and appears to be a translation of instructions written in a foreign language. There are several grammatical and spelling erors so it was not properly proof read. I can just about get it to warm up food but have failed to use it to actually cook. My relative had a go at it and said it was unnecesarily complicated and he is an expert. I contacted the manufacturer by Email about the poor handbook and asked them to have it rewritten by an educated Englishman who knew the machine but they were not interested. I do not recommend it nor the manufacturers.
