After our last microwave blew up so spectacularly, I felt it was time to buy a new one.
Looked at a few models in shops, but was put off by the fact that they look like you need a degree in electronic engineering to operate them !
Returned home to sit down with Amazon and came across the Daewoo, which is a lovely wee peice of kit.
- The instruction manual is short, concise and easy to understand.
- The microwave is incredibly easy to use. It was ready to go, clock set and everything within five minutes of getting it out of the box.
- Simple enough for my older kids to use, but with a child safety feature so that my younger kids won't get their faces melted if they get into the kitchen.
- Cooks food properly so that it is evenly heated throughout.
- Looks great.
- Doesn't take up much space.
- Comes with a shelf so you can heat two plates at once.
- Operates very queitly.
All in all, an excellent buy - highly recommended.

Excellent ! It does all that we need it to do. Instruction book fooled us for a while though...'To open the door, press the 'door open' button. There isn't such a button but just pull the door open. Cooking stops immediately. Good value for money and very neat.

I decided to risk buying this microwave after reading all the reviews, but I am really disappointed with the quality.

The whole thing just feels so cheap and poorly made compared to my old microwave.
It looks great and works well but is just too cheaply made from flimsy materials.

The front door should be safely attached to stop radiation leaking. It wobbles on its hinges and has a small gap in the corner and the whole thing is also much nosier than my old microwave.

All in all, I do not feel that I am getting my moneys worth with this one and have sent it back.
