4.0 out of 5 stars Good Value for Money, 18 Nov 2005
By A Customer
Wasn't sure whether we had good reception, but plugged it in - worked a treat and immediately found 47 Channels. Very easy to use remote control - particularly like the programme guide which gives a 3 Panel display (1) Detail description for selection, (2) 'small' TV view of current programme, or you can pre-view your selection, (3) 5 Channels * 2 Hours programme scheule which you can navigate left/right up/down - easy to see at a glance what is on several channels. Very pleased - good value for money. Only slight disadvantage is that you cannot control the sound level output so switching between TV and the Digi Box you have to adjust the TV Sound.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little box, 5 Aug 2005
By Geoff Peel (Doncaster United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Good quality box which also looks stylish and is compact.

Simply plug in and switch on and it sets up itself and is working. If you want to do more you can use manual set up and check signal strength and quality before deciding to add channels. You can select 16:9 or 4:3 to suit your TV, if 4:3 you can select letterbox or cutout mode to fit the screen.

One of few models which has a seven day programme guide (EPG) even now. This works well on both TV and Radio. It allows you to see a short review of the programme and set a timer for the programme or set a reminder to flash on the screen if you are watching something else! Only omission is a day indication, so if you move ahead one day or two you have to count how many times you press the day advance button.

The timer only changes the channel it does not turn the unit on so you cannot use it to control the automatic recording of a DVD with an external link. The aerial is a loop through not a modulator and so you need a TV with a SCART.

The above are all the cons I can find the pros are a good quality good looking box at a good price. It is easy to use and simply does the job. I had the previous Daewoo box and this has worked flawlessly; I expect this one to do the same.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value product, 27 Oct 2005
By G. Wilson "oufc_gav1986" (Oxford, UK.) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is an excellent value product. Box contains everything you need, unit is small and reasonably attractive.
Plugged in, unit set itself up automatically. Good picture. Quick channel change (not always apparent in cheaper units).
7-day guide is good, though slightly "busy" display.
The only negative thing is the inordinate amount of time it takes to go to the text/interactive services.

Good basic unit - good value - excellent 1st digi box.
