Product Description

A KILLER STALKS HIS PREY...
A calculating and deadly killer is in search for what he terms as his perfect family. Preying upon single mothers and their innocent children, the police have dubbed him "The Family Man."

HE WATCHES THEM...HE TAKES THEM...
He plays out his role as the perfect father. When things don't go so perfect in his insane fantasy world, the family man kills.

HOLLY JENNINGS IS ON THE CASE...
Crime Scene Investigator Holly Jennings of the San Diego Police Department is determined to track him down and see that justice is served. With Holly being a single mother herself, this man's crimes are deeply personal to her, and turn more so when a friend and her daughter become the latest victims of "The Family Man."

Along with tracking an evil killer, Holly is dealing with her own internal demons. She is raising her daughter Chloe alone after the death of her husband--a death she feels guilty for.

To complicate her life further, Holly is doing her best to avoid possibly falling in love again with charming veterinarian Brendan O'Neil. As Holly delves deeper into solving the murders, she finds herself being sucked into a game of cat and mouse by "The Family Man," that may lead her down a dark path too horrible to bear. One that may cost her gravely-her family, her new found love, and even her life.

Great Thriller 6 Jun 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
From the first page of the book the story had me hooked. There were some unexpected surprises that I thought were well done. Sure, there were a few typos but they didn't bother me because I found the plotline to be riveting.

The story is about a serial killer who preys on single mothers and their children, looking to be a dad to them. He is a monster of a character. I liked that the author explained how this character became so warped.

The lead character Holly is a worthy opponent to take down the bad guy, and when she and her family are put in peril, she takes no prisoners. I loved the book.

Daddy's Home is a "must read".

WORTH A READ 13 July 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
This book was a Kindle recommendation which I decided to give a try. At the bargain price of just 71 pence you really cant complain! I've rated this book 3 stars and have purchased two other books by this author.

I had read the other reviews on this and thought it sounded good (not sure how it comes up in Amazon under 'romance', however given it is crime fiction). Whilst the story idea is quite good, the book is badly written and the layout and mistakes in it jar. For example, within 2 sentences the spelling of Lynne changes to Lyn; someone is in one country and then complains to themselves because they can't use their mobile out of it but name a completely different country! That was annoying so it needs proof reading. It also needs to be set out better as sometimes it was hard to work out who was speaking. Lots of cliches and it was pretty predictable so I am not sure why other reviewers found this so good.

Mixed feelings about this book.
A reasonable, if predictable read. I prefer to have to wait and work out who the killer is. Awful proof reading, if any at all was done. Read more

OK
This book is ok. It's not bad, it's even mildly suspenseful. What let it down for me is the over description of things. Read more

Scary Stuff
Although my reading tastes tend to run more toward cozy mysteries, romance, and chick-lit, every once in a while I love a good curl-my-toes thriller. Read more
