MMy 15mo daughter loves this. We're a heterosexual couple but I think it's important she sees a variety of normal families in the books and tv she's exposed to, and this is a great addition to any bookshelf. There's not much rhyme or reason to the books she picks up at the library so I can't say for sure what she likes about it, but she went straight for this one and asked for it so often that I came on here today to buy us a permanent copy

We got this for our 2 year old daughter. I like it because it is the first book that reflects the two Dads that she has in her life. She likes it because she can relate to the situations shown and it has a sweet ending.

We bought this book (with Mommy, Mama and Me for our little girl, the latter to replicate our family set up) and she absolutely loves it. She loves the detail and the rhymes and will read it every night! Pages are good quality and are still intact despite our 2 year old sucking the edges and pointing with wet fingers! Definitely recommend it for any family but especially good for families with two daddies or mummies.

I have given this book and others like it to all my godchildren. I am heterosexual but I think it is our duty to help educate the new generations. The book deals in a light way with the issues but it still coveys the message. One of my god sons loved it so much he now asks why he can't have a daddy and a papa!
I highly recommend this book to all........even some adults!

I have two children under three and I have been consciously trying to find books that show different types of family so they are exposed to the idea in a straightforward way from the very beginning. This is a great little book; no big fuss, no big explanations, just two Dads playing with their child and having fun. The child in the book could also be of either sex, which I imagine will give it a greater appeal.

From a quality point of view, it's also good; rounded corners, good quality board and nice colours.

A great addition to our library.

I bought this for my foster child, little boy age 3 who was being adopted by a daddy and a papa. Great for perpetration towards introductions. He identified himself with the little boy. This book helped us a great deal to prepare him.

I bought this book for my heterosexual friends to read to their children as they have been asking me questions. Well, my dear friends seemed not to know how or when to educate their kids about their gay friends. They were perhaps anxious and had in mind that telling kids about lgbt people would also mean telling kids about sex! It doesn't, of course. It tells the story of a family with 2 dads. Well this toddler friendly board book is just perfect. It's a normal everyday book for young kids. Don't wait til your kids are 14, tell them now before they learn prejudice and discrimination from others. Please!
