We bought this to use with a Sony Bloggie. The unit itself is small lightweight and will fit easily into a pocket. It is quite nicely engineered.
It gives good stability and the Bloggie fits on it fine - HOWEVER!!!! - because the thread fitting on the bloggie is on one end of the unit it means you have to use the Bloggie in portrait mode, if you try to put the unit into landscape (as for most photos and certainly video) it simply falls over as the legs don't spread wide enough to take the imbalanced weight. Whether this is a fault of the tripod or of Sony's design I'm not quite sure, however it did come up as a recommended item to go with the Bloggie, so someones either lying or they haven't tried it!
It will give more stability and a less shaky picture if you hold the tripod, but that rather defeats the purpose of it in the first place.

The tripod IS mini, so don't expect anything really tall. It attaches firmly to a Sony Bloggie and after it is screwed in, you can twist the stand a little to adjust the angle of the camera. I found that even though its a tripod, you can also attach it to things like office chairs by putting one leg in the front and two in the back and it holds well, so there are a few options for using the product. Overall, given the price, it was a good buy.
