This is the first time I've bought a feather duvet and looked around the local shops and prices were 3 times more than amazon. So i was a little worried about the quality and how it could be so much cheaper, just £40 compared to a similar one in debenhams for £125. I ordered on a sunday and recived on wednesday, and its GREAT!!
Its probably better than the ones in the shops and has a really nice snug,cozy,bouncy feel. The fabric is really soft and its just the right warmth to use all year round. There is a slight odour from the feathers but after a few days its all gone.
Ive since gone back and bought some pillows aswell.

This is my 3rd feather duvet over the last 15 years. I bought this based on other reviews and on the high down content advertised. I didnt understand how amazon could sell this so cheap as i paid more than £90 for all my previous ones and they only had 15% down, thus i was doubtful with regard to the quality. I ordered in late novemeber and took delivery 3 days later and the item came in a nice gift type bag with a handle to carry.
I opened it and 1st impressions were WOW!!! it looked the same if not better than my more expensive one. I then layed it out to check it against my old one. The stitching looked exactly the same, 2 rows of seems all round and the feathers were evenly stitched into square boxes. The cover though actually is far better on this and much thicker fabric. Other reviews mention the noise from the cover but i can see why now as its such good quality fabric and so dense that when it rubs against itself a slight noise is made but i had the same with all my previous ones.
There is a slight aroma from the duvet but i know this is normal and it was all gone after a few days of use. the duvet is REALLY WELL FILLED and is really bouncy and cozy. It looks and feels so luxurious that when im in bed i just want to curl up and stay exactly where i am. During the winter months when we had the really deep snow and probably the coldest winter ever it was ideal and went well beyond my expectations. in the cold mornings i just did not want to get out of bed as the duvet was like having another skin on a was so comfortable that i could sleep in all day.
Now after a few months of use i decided to get it washed and followed the instructions (it just about fits my machine) and then left to dry. It came out even fluffier than new and the fabric washed up really nice to with no bobbling or wearing. Also was so surprised that only a couple of tuffs of feathers had escaped as with my old ones i used to loose quite a few with every wash but that noisy cover stopped then from escaping.
all in all its a superb item and just amazing value. At this price i expected a average item but instead received a deluxe duvet.

Health hazardous product. Do not buy!
