Book Description

14 Sep 2009
A group of teenagers do something bad, really bad, then panic and cover the whole thing up. But when they find that the cover-up unites them and brings harmony to their otherwise fractious lives, where's the incentive to put things right? DNA is a poignant and, sometimes, hilarious tale with a very dark heart. A new play for younger people, DNA opened at the National Theatre in February 2008. This School Version includes notes for teachers and those studying the play for GCSE English, as written by Anthony Banks, theatre director and Associate Director of the National Theatre Discover Programme.

Format:Paperback
This is a truley modern great, Kelly really has depicted modern society in a brilliant way in DNA. Easy to interpret , most if not all roles genders can be changed and is open for influence in characters, staging and even the way the topic is carried out. Brilliant play.

2.0 out of 5 stars DNA 4 July 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A short play that lacks real substance or development of characters. The play focuses on an incident that occurs between a group of teenagers, and the consequences their actions have.
The play is a good exploration of spoken language, however doesn't necessarily address the severity of what happens.

Excellent condition - as new. Fast delivery. A short and rather disturbing look at teen dynamics; a modern day take on the Lord of the Flies concept.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark but brilliant 19 Dec 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Very dark tale with plenty of dark humour. Very popular with students and easy to stage for schools and colleges. Good mix of characters who can be played by males or females.
