Had this camera for a few months, bought as a replacement for an aged Olympus Camedia. We wanted a digital that took pictures when you pushed the button which this does a bit better than the Olympus but not much faster.
The good points are speed of start up, it is pretty quick to get going, the controls are logical. Movie mode is ok and the camera has recently survived being attached to a bike being ridden down an off road track whilst taking acceptable film.
The camera is let down mostly by its picture quality, it is inferior to our old Olympus. Often the pictures are just soft and don't stand out on the screen or on paper.
The metering is a bit hit and miss in slightly challenging conditions that most cameras deal with happily.
I am a professional wedding photographer and we still use film and 40 year old equipment, the digital pocket cameras are a back up, every line up is also snapped on a digi just in-case the developers have a disaster.
This weekend we actually used this camera alongside the old Olympus, same conditions, same line ups, I would give the Lumix 4 out of ten and Olympus a good 8 out of 10 despite being years older and a couple of million mega pix smaller. The only thing the Lumix did better was the confetti pics where its multi shot mode was good. Some of the pics came out ok, most of the problems stemmed from the light meter function on this occasion.
Unfortunately this camera seems in the 65-100 league not the £150. I suggest you check out some other cameras before buying anyway, this one looked good on paper but has proved a bit a let down, off course we may just have a duff one but it seems unlikely, sorry Panasonic.
One more thing in its favour is the macro..... seems to work very well from the limited use I have made of that function...

This is a great little camera. Had it for a couple of years now and can't complain.
