This program makes creating your own designs a doddle. It is easy to understand and hence enjoyable to use.It appears to do everything that much more expensive programs do.
I have been using it a few weeks now and turned many photographs into charts.
The program allows editing of photos - crop,erase,and variable controls for brightness, contrast,saturation, hue,histo-equalize,greyscale, edge enhance,stretch intensity and gamma correct.
Although the size of the design can be left to the default setting, the program also gives you the opportunity to resize, either in stitches or centimeters.
There is a choice of printing styles for the finished chart,from colour with symbols,black and white with symbols or just colour blocks.(This is accessed through the print set up dialogue)
You can define the maximum number of colours you wish to use.
Obviously, the more colours used, the greater the detail.
There are two faults I can find with it as a package.
The first is that it limits you to using DMC thread, but then considering it is a DMC pattern designer, this is hardly surprising!
Its` other fault is the resource CD which comes with it.I personally did not find it particularly useful.
But if you use DMC thread and you fancy stitching your photos, this is a good program to use.
