These guides are very good - recommend over another, including Lonely Planet. Always get the Top 10 though - this one was the normal guide, and they're not so good.

I was disappointed with this - when the site offered me a used copy in good condition I assumed it would be a used fairly recent version, however it was published in 2006 so isn't much use really for my trip to Poland in 2014! I thought £27 for a new one was very expensive, so opted for a used one! I feel that i was conned really and paid £14 for the pleasure - DOH!

Brought this book for my daughter as she was visiting the city. She found that the content was laid out in an easy to use manor. Just wish I could have found a slightly smaller version. This fits in to a rucksack ok but is too bulky for the average size handbag. I would recommend this book.

Excellent guide - brief info about everything, many photos 18 Aug 2004
By Jagoda Urban-Klaehn - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
It is hard to believe that the authors could store so much information about Warsaw and Poland is such a small and practical book size format. It is really amazing book - all you need to know about Warsaw - first, brief information followed by more detailed area by area guide with wonderful maps and pictures. Every important object is explained on two consecutive sites. For instance the guide about St. John Cathedral contains the schematic picture of the church in the center stretched over left and right page. Additionally some historic and art objects which are located inside the church are showed and explained with the arrows pointing to the part of the church where they can be found.

Each section is marked with different color which makes it so easy to find. At the end - it has a survival guide - hotels, food place, drinks (with pictures of different types of vodka and beer), communication and travel, entertainment. Just keep it all the time with you while in Warsaw and you would be never lost! Updated with every edition.

Outstanding guide to Warsaw 26 Oct 2004
By AcornMan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
There's a lot to do and see in Warsaw, and this book does a great job of informing visitors about this wonderful city. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it needs a bigger map (or at least more maps showing outlying areas). The maps included in the book are great, but it would be nice to get a bigger picture of the city because not everything is centrally located. I took this book with me everywhere I went in Warsaw and it was an immense help when it came to finding important sites and identifying ones I came across while walking around. And as always, the photos in this DK publication are outstanding. This is the only travel guide you need if you're going to be visiting Warsaw, though it would be a good idea to find a full-sized map once you get there.

Good bones but needs updating 12 Aug 2005
By Mark S. Traub - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I just spent 4 days in Warsaw with this book as my main guide. Although the book is exhaustive, and takes you in directions that you might not think about and is therefore worthwhile, it woefully needs updating. Poland is a country which changes minute-to-minute, and this book, published in 2003, leads you down many restaurant and hotel roads which are dead ends. And when you need to get to the airport its maps are no help.

However, the format, the photos, and the walks are excellent. There seems to be no current guidebook which can supercede this one, so it is the best choice out there.

WARSAW 7 Aug 2008
By Rajkonja, Croatia - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Warsaw is a fast developing city and this edition is a bit outdatet now. Otherwise, very good guide-book, just as every other Eyewitness Travel Guide I've used.
