I found this a very good guide to Stockholm which allowed us to make the most of the city in the short time we were there. It is liberally illustrated with photos of places of interest as well as providing lots of maps to help you get around. The city is divided into its areas and each is given its own mini-map and highlights of what to see and do. There is also detail on festivals and celebrations throughout the year. If you plan to travel on foot, you'll find suggestions and directions for walks around the city. If you plan to go further afield, then there's useful information on excursions from Stockholm. As you'd expect, there's also detail on hotels, restaurants, shopping etc etc. I cannot comment on these as we were in the city for too short a time to use this. All in all, I'd certainly recommend this guide. It is attractive, well designed and full of all the information you'd need. It certainly allowed us to be highly selective in how we spent our time in Stockholm and without the need to pay for expensive organised tours.

I liked this book for it's maps, it's suggested walks and sightseeing info. I didn't use it for looking for hotels or restaurants - I think it is hard to keep a book up to date for these things. I liked the way the book was divided into different sections of the city. I was only there for a weekend.

A very useful book suggesting lots of activities for visitors to the city. I particularly like the 'mini guides' to the prominent buildings as it saves buying individual guides.
Some of the 'Traveller's Needs' section needs prices updating (or an indication of the date for the prices included in the guide). The travel section needs to include some of the simple, cheaper options I found on line before I left.
