We travelled through Italy in September and this was one of the many books we took with us. It was so useful! We went to so many towns and we wouldn't have been able to make sure we didn't miss a thing without this book.
I particularly liked the ideas for walking tours so when we went to a new town for a day we followed it exactly, not missing any of the sights.
I will buy a DK book wherever we go from now on.

This guide was very helpful for my trip to Florence and Pisa. It was very detailed and accurate. The best part for me was the map of Florence. It was one of the best maps I have used while travelling. I never got lost (something that is easy to do in Italy - although I do consider that part of the fun).
The only downside to this guide was the map of Pisa. My hotel while only a 5 minute walk from the Leaning Tower was on a road not included in the map. It meant a little guesswork in finding it. The main focus of this book is Florence so Pisa is only a couple of pages and a tiny map in the book.
There is so much to see and do in the Tuscany area so this guidebook will be used again hopefully in the near future.
