Bought as travel guide for a week in Vienna. Would have been lost without it! Maps excellent especially public transport. Went to 3 of restaurants mentioned and all were excellent. Used to choose what we did and where we went. Worked brilliantly and great price too.

For a short visit to Vienna this book is good. I was in Vienna for work purposes and snatching time where I could to sightsee. This book provided clear guidance as to what were the most significant things to see, and allowed me to use my time well. As far as I was concerned the suggestions were good. It comes with an array of maps of different scales, which were very helpful.
It is a bit light on historical detail or other background information, so for a more intensive exploration of the city it might fall a bit short.

Overall a good basic guide - on the minus side it doesn't go in to any great detail which can prove annoying but on the plus side it seems up to date and accurate and is light to carry around. Good maps on front and back covers but I didn't see the point of the extra fold out map in the back pocket.

An excellent, well illustrated guide. The suggested days out with recommendations for eating are a very good idea. The seperate map in the back is unnescesarily complicated.
