Product Description

This is a collection of NINE SHORT STORIES, all based (unfortunately) on my own experience. Dating, divorce, desperation--all that good stuff! After nineteen years of marriage, I was suddenly thrust into a brave new world of dating--online, offline, standing in line, listening to lines--and I've survived to tell these tales. CAUTION: if you're contemplating divorce, these stories may convince you to consider marriage counseling. If you're out there dating, chances are you will relate. OMG! Here's a scary thought: maybe you've met some of these guys! Names have been changed to protect the guilty.

These stand-alone stories range in length from 500 words to over 3,000 words. The collection is a total of 14,613 words, approximately 55 pages.

Note from the author:
After being married for nineteen years, my husband wanted a divorce. The good new is that we're still friends. In fact, when I recently had a bad accident resulting in three emergency surgeries and an amputated toe, he really helped me out. So that's a happy ending. However, dating wasn't quite as happy.

These nine short stories reflect my experience. Most people find many of the stories funny.(One isn't supposed to be funny, and most are bittersweet.) Some people don't. I can't guarantee you will, but I do guarantee that I poured my heart into these stories, and I love sharing them with readers.

Thanks to everyone who's bought them!

Suzanne

1.0 out of 5 stars What a load of old tosh!! 26 Aug 2011
By Gary
Format:Kindle Edition
After reading the reviews on this book I thought I would
download it and give it a go, (after all the price wasn't exactly prohibitive!)
What I would like to know is...Where is the humour that all the other reviewers are
talking about? For me it was Humourless Dross that I could not recommend to any reader.
What a dissapointment! Perhaps the humour doesn't travel the across 'Pond'!
or perhaps is it the old adage that 'Men are from Mars and Women from Venus'!
In summary...If you are Male and English you are certainly not going to enjoy this.
Save your 71 pence!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun! 1 April 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Suzanne Tyrpak is a natural story teller, and I was cracking up out loud quite a lot during some of the collection. At the same time, though, the stories are also quite sad, and they're a great insight into the dating game after her divorce. I recognized quite a few traits of the men she dates, and they're pretty scary!

Dating My Vibrator is a roller-coaster of emotions, and a bare-all (not literally!) book that women and (hopefully!) men can relate to. If you're looking for a fun read, you've got to check this out!

3.0 out of 5 stars A bit disjointed 21 Mar 2011
By Kippy
Format:Kindle Edition
Having read the positive reviews, I was a bit disappointed by the actual product. Sense of humour is, of course, individual, so perhaps it is just me, but I didn't find these stories half as funny as most other reviewers. I think, perhaps, the stories seemed to lack cohesion and setting. Of course, I recognise that this is a collection of stories rather than a novella; however, they seemed to jump around in time, which I found rather offputting. Also, the story of the author's father's birthday didn't fit into the general gist of the collection. All in all, this was an amusing but ultimately unsatisfying read for me.

I haven't read such drivel for a long time. Americanised trash. Wast of money and time reading it. Found it hard to find any humour in it.

Finally, he said, "Let's talk." I grabbed the remote, cut off Dr. Phil mid-sentence, and sat attentively, ready to plunge the depths of the male psyche. This talk was what I'd wanted, what I'd been praying for: my husband was about to speak, disclose his most intimate desires, reveal his deepest fears. I sensed it. I felt it. He was going to confide in me. Then he said, "The problem with our marriage is your butt." "e;
